§ 8-5. Swimming with spear guns prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person to swim with or have a spear gun in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean within the property boundary of which any fishing pier is located in the town. The term "spear gun" as used in this section, is defined to mean and include any mechanical or pneumatic (air powered) spear gun or any similar device with a pointed end which may be used to impale, stab or pierce any marine life.
