§ 2-4. Authorization for town manager to enter into certain contracts.

  • The town manager shall be authorized to enter into contracts for repair work and construction work requiring an estimated expenditure of public money within the informal bid range and for the purchase of apparatus, supplies, materials, equipment, or services requiring an estimated expenditure of public money in any amount; provided, however, that such expenditure shall not be made in an amount greater than that which has previously been budgeted and approved by the board of commissioners. The town manager shall comply with all the requirements of law for the letting of public contracts and for purchases utilizing public funds. It is further provided that, upon compliance with this section, the town manager shall have full authority to bind the town in such contract or purchase.
