§ 10-1. Building inspector.

  • (a)

    Office created; duties generally. Under the authority granted to the town by G.S. 160A-411, the office of building inspector for the town is hereby established. The building inspector so appointed shall have all of the duties vested in such office by the General Statutes.

    (b)

    Right of entry for inspection purposes. The building inspector of the town has the right at any hour of the day and any day of the week to enter upon and on a lot or site for which a building permit has been requested or issued but for which a certificate of occupancy has not yet been issued, for the purposes of inspection of the premises in accordance with this chapter, the zoning chapter and the building code of the town.
